Pop of colour

Today, I'm channeling Spring and loving this outfit:

The pop of colour is perfect and I love this skirt! In early Spring when it's still a little cooler out, pairing a warmer sweater or long-sleeve shirt with a skirt provides the extra warmth while still maintaining that Spring style! 

Blair at Atlantic-Pacific always puts together gorgeous outfits - I look to her often when I'm in need of a bit of inspiration!

Almost back!

Before this week, it had been an INCREDIBLY, embarrassingly long time since my previous post. I've been at school in another city for the last 2 school years, and studying takes up approximately 95% of the time that I spent awake (and about 20% of the time that should be spent sleeping), so I definitely let blogging fall to the wayside. I have three weeks of exam prep/exam writing coming up, and then I'll be heading back to Vancouver for the summer, with many exciting things to come after that, including moving into a great little apartment smack dab in the of Vancouver's downtown core, and - get ready for this - which includes almost 300 square feet of outdoor space! It took us about 3.2 seconds after seeing the patio to ask the landlord where we could sign. I can't wait for summer 1 month from now when I can start decorating the new place, enjoying beautiful Vancouver, and blogging again!

Blue skies

I love this time of year! I can wear a cozy scarf and a couple layers, while still feeling a briskness in the air on a long walk around the city. I opted for a feminine rose lace top (j.crew), a bomber-style brown leather jacket, and an oversized scarf!

Spring is in the air

Okay, it doesn't necessarily feel like spring every day... But I do love the changing of the seasons and all that comes along with it. This semester, I have been flying back and forth between cities in order to see C as much as possible - and every time I'm in Vancouver, we try to spend as much time as we can outdoors and enjoying the good weather! We loved our afternoon in White Rock - and I love every opportunity I get to wear this fab hat!

Also, I found my dream loft - I will live in a place like this at SOME point in my life, even if only for a year! Isn't it gorgeous??

So this semester started off STRONGLY! It seems like class readings doubled, and therefore social life/free time has slightly dimished... however I have still been taking the time to enjoy myself a bit, so here are a couple of pictures from two great nights out with two great friends!



On another note, I have absolutely been taking the time (both during and outside of class...) to check out some of my favourite blogs and pinterest boards, and here are some of the pics I loved most (can you tell I'm excited for warmer weather??):

Today I miss home and I feel like wearing something cozy, which is what this outfit is to me. I had a wonderful Christmas holiday with my lovely family, boyfriend, and friends, and that is making it harder to be back in my little apartment in a (seemingly) faraway city for a new semester.


All the outfit needs is a colourful purse... and a long pearl necklace...

pearls always make me feel better :)

My dress arrived!

This is the dress I bought myself for New Years Eve! I'm so excited to finally have a sequin dress to celebrate the new year in!

Since my recent post on leopard print pieces, I've been on the lookout. And I just found these beauties at Topshop in The Bay - amazing!

Thinking about the my holiday vacations, to Christmas, and to New Years is what is getting me through this hectic program at school... so yesterday during my frequent online window shopping experience, I caved and bought myself a New Years dress! I have always wanted to wear a sequin dress at New Years (it just seems fitting!) so I'm SO excited to get this one in!! What do you think?!

Perfect styling for a beautiful autumn day... not for me, however, since, I am, it just snowed 4cm!
